The Mother who has everything, loved this watch!
My Mother loves Nordstrom's, I practically grew up there. She loves your excellent customer service, and that, after any length of time; if something just didn't work out, she could return it and have the trust in your brand over many years. I remember trying things on in the dressing room as a teenager, with her flashing her gold card full of love and pride in her ability to provide an excellent wardrobe for her tomboy teen daughter. I really wanted to play sports and live in my jeans, but my Mother gave me my sense of style. It was the most comfortable way for her to show her love, as well, which I didn't appreciate until later in life. Some people are just not as comfortable with affection and hugs, but show their love in what they provide for you, and that is the best they can do. I am happy to say, Nordstrom's has always been her way of showing her love for me, and now; thanks to a great career, I can do the same for her, and this watch, is a symbol of my love for my Mom!
I learned from the best, and to this day whenever I visit her at home, I also get a tour of her Nordy's shoe and purse collection. As her birthday approached, I asked myself, "What in the world does my Mother NOT own right now, that she would love?" I found myself scrolling through your selections of watches when this one struck me. I loved the Gold embossed frame, against the bright white, the colors of royalty and purity all in the same watch; plus the large numbers, I thought, would be easier for her to read!
The day it arrived, she called me and was extremely giddy with delight by my choice of gift for her, she said "Karen, I LOVE this watch, it's exactly what I wanted, how did you KNOW, I needed a new watch? " To which I replied, "Well, I figured you didn't need another purse!"
We laughed, and she told me, "Tomorrow, when I go out, I am going to wear this gorgeous watch and I can't wait!"
Sure enough, she went out to dinner that night with my Father. They are in the middle of a divorce, that appears to be dissolving as they see one another 3 times a week, and he lives a few miles away. She called me the next day, glowing, "I wore it, and got so many compliments Karen, thank you soooo much, I love you!" And then my Father called, "Wow, that is a stunning watch, what a perfect gift for the women who has everything"
Thank you Nordstrom's for being my second home, and for being such a source of love between me and my Mother, and for this amazing watch. Of course, I give it 5 stars, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
