Our Focus on Products And Partners
Nordstrom is pleased to offer merchandise from several vendors whose unique offerings give our customers the opportunity to choose items that also support meaningful causes or initiatives. We are proud to highlight these partners: Some are made from sustainable materials; others provide support to people and communities in need; still others have made efforts to reduce their environmental footprint through finding ways to reduce packaging. Their common thread is that "doing good" is an important part of their business approach—something that Nordstrom is thrilled to recognize and support.
Partners in Action
A commitment to making a difference
Currently, we partner with a number of companies that share our commitment to making a positive difference. Examples of these types of products currently offered in Nordstrom stores include:
- UGG® Australia - We've worked with UGG Australia to significantly reduce packaging used in their footwear boxes.
- TOMS Shoes - This footwear company provides shoes to children in need around the world.
- Krochet Kids - The creation of their knit caps employs and supports refugees in Northern Uganda.
These are just a few examples of products that allow our customers ways to help create meaningful change through their purchases.
Organic cotton, recycled materials and more
In addition to the good that comes from these partnerships, we offer our customers a broad range of eco-friendly products that are produced through Nordstrom's private labels or by other vendors. These include apparel and goods fashioned from organic cotton, sandals crafted out of recycled rubber, and even watches made with corn resin and mercury-free batteries. More Positive Change
Building and expanding relationships
Looking to the future, our plans include expanding our relationships with vendors to help bring about even more positive change. We are currently working on a program to further reduce packaging used by several of our vendors. Because it accounts for a high percentage of the waste we generate, we see product packaging reduction as a significant opportunity to help reduce our environmental impact. We'll also work to identify other ways that we can partner with vendors to make a difference.
