Becoming A Member

Who is eligible to participate in Nordstrom Rewards™?

The only way to participate in Nordstrom Rewards is to become a Nordstrom cardholder. As a Nordstrom cardholder, you are automatically enrolled in Level 1 of the Nordstrom Rewards program — which means you get rewards points and other benefits, including Early Access to the Anniversary Sale.

How can I become a member of Level 2, 3 or 4?

Your eligibility for the higher levels of our program is based on your annual net purchases with your Nordstrom credit or debit card at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores and online at Nordstrom.com, nordstromrack.com and HauteLook.

Level 2: $2,000 based on 2013 net Nordstrom purchases on your Nordstrom card.

Level 3: $5,000 based on 2013 net Nordstrom purchases on your Nordstrom card.

Level 4: $10,000 based on 2013 net Nordstrom purchases on your Nordstrom card.

Does Nordstrom net spend include online and Rack purchases?

Yes, it includes purchases at Nordstrom.com, nordstromrack.com and HauteLook.

If I have more than one type of Nordstrom card, is the net spend combined to determine my membership level?

No. If you have multiple Nordstrom card products, your net spend is not combined.

How will I know if I've qualified for a new level and what my benefits are?

Your eligibility for Levels 2, 3 and 4 of the program is reviewed every April, July, October and again in January of the following year. If you have achieved a new level, you will be notified soon after of your new benefits and current program status via mail.

General Benefits

If I move up to Level 3, what happens to my Level 2 benefits?

Every time you achieve a new level, you still receive the benefits of all the levels that precede it. However, the alterations and Personal Triple Points Day benefits are not cumulative as you progress through the Nordstrom Rewards levels. For example, if you were a Level 2 and used $100 of your $200 alterations benefit, and you then became a Level 3 member, you would have $200 in alterations benefit left to use.

What if I'm at Level 4?

Then you'll receive every one of our program's benefits—congratulations!

Once I reach a qualifying spend for a certain level, when will my benefits begin?

We will review your status every April, July, October and again in January of the following year. If you should advance levels during the year, you will be notified of the change via mail, at which point your new benefits begin.

If I'm at Level 1, 2, 3 or 4, how long will my benefits last?

Benefits associated with Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Nordstrom Rewards expire 12 months after the calendar year in which you achieved that level, or when your account is closed.

For example, if you spend $2,000 by the end of June in 2013, you will receive Level 2 benefits for the remainder of 2013 as well as for January 1–December 31, 2014. If in October 2013, you reach $5,000 in net spend at Nordstrom on your Nordstrom card, you will receive Level 3 benefits until December 31, 2014.

Do I need to re-qualify annually for my benefits to continue?

Yes. In order to maintain your Level status, you will need to maintain the same spend on your card year over year. For example, if you are a Level 3 at the beginning of 2014, in order to maintain your Level 3 status in 2015, you will need to make at least $5,000 in net purchases on your Nordstrom card in 2014.

Is it possible for me to lose access to the benefits I've earned?

Yes. You will forfeit access to any Level 1, 2, 3 or 4 benefits if your Nordstrom card is closed and/or you fail to pay two or more consecutive minimum payments due on your Nordstrom account, or if a Nordstrom debit card transaction is returned unpaid for any reason from your bank.

Where can I redeem my Nordstrom Notes®?

You can redeem your Notes at any Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack store or online at Nordstrom.com. We're still working on accepting Nordstrom Notes to pay for purchases at nordstromrack.com and HauteLook.

I received an e-mail saying I have a Personal Triple Points Day available. What does that mean?

You get to pick any day to earn triple points for every net purchase made at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom.com with your Nordstrom credit or debit card. (Choose a day when you plan on doing a lot of shopping, so you'll earn Notes faster.) We're still working on letting you take advantage of Personal Triple Points Days at nordstromrack.com and HauteLook.

Get your shop on at one of our stores and tell your salesperson you want to use your Personal Triple Points Day. Or shop Nordstrom.com and check the "Yes! Make this my Personal Triple Points Day" box at Checkout. (Make sure you've saved your Nordstrom card to the Payment Methods section of your Nordstrom.com account first.)

I received an e-mail saying I have Nordstrom Notes to use. What does that mean? How do I use them?

It means you have at least $10 in Nordstrom Notes to spend on anything you want at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom.com. We're still working on accepting Nordstrom Notes to pay for purchases at nordstromrack.com and HauteLook.

Shopping in store without your Note handy? Just have a salesperson look it up—it's that easy!

To use Notes at Nordstrom.com, save your Nordstrom card to the Payment Methods section of your Nordstrom.com account. At Checkout, under the "Pay with a Nordstrom Note" section, click "Apply." Don't have a Nordstrom.com account? Create one today—it's quick and easy.

If you've saved your Nordstrom card to your Nordstrom.com account, you can also track Notes online. Sign in to Your Account and visit the Rewards Information section to see Notes, points balances and more.

I received an e-mail saying that I have a Nordstrom Note that's about to expire. What do I do?

Your Nordstrom Note will expire within the next 45 days. Once it's gone, it's gone for good—we want to make sure you get to use it. Spend your Note on whatever you want at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom.com. Can't find your Note? No problem—just ask your salesperson to look it up. Or, if you're shopping at Nordstrom.com, you can view your available Notes at Checkout (just save your Nordstrom card to your Nordstrom.com account first).

Rewards Points

How do I earn rewards points?

Nordstrom cardholders receive rewards points when shopping at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores and online at Nordstrom.com, nordstromrack.com and HauteLook with their Nordstrom credit or debit card—two points for every net dollar spent, with the opportunity to earn additional points during special bonus points events. Nordstrom Visa and Visa Signature cardholders also receive rewards points for purchases made outside of Nordstrom—one point for every net dollar.

What do my rewards points get me?

Every time you accumulate 2,000 rewards points, we will send you a $20 Nordstrom Note to apply toward anything your heart desires in Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores, catalogs or online at Nordstrom.com.

Is there a situation where I could lose the rewards points I've earned?

Yes. There are three instances in which you will forfeit all accumulated and unused rewards points: if you fail to pay two or more consecutive minimum payments due on your Nordstrom account, if a Nordstrom debit card transaction is returned unpaid for any reason from your bank, or if you close your Nordstrom card account.

Can my rewards points expire?

Yes. Rewards points earned and not redeemed for Nordstrom Notes shall expire three years from the last day of the year in which the points were earned, or when your account is closed.

Can I earn bonus points at the Rack?

Yes! You can earn bonus points at Nordstrom Rack, nordstromrack.com and HauteLook just like you can at Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com. Check out the bonus points events calendar online or visit your favorite Rack store for bonus points event dates.

Can I earn rewards points and bonus points at nordstromrack.com and HauteLook?

Yes! Nordstrom cardholders receive rewards points when shopping online at nordstromrack.com and HauteLook with their Nordstrom credit or debit card. You can earn bonus points as well during published bonus points events throughout the year.

Do my Nordstrom Notes expire?

Yes. Nordstrom Notes expire one year after the date they are issued. The expiration date is printed on your Nordstrom Note for your convenience.

How and when do I use my Personal Triple Points Day(s)?

Your Personal Triple Points Days can be used whenever and wherever you'd like at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom.com. Please note that rewards points are capped at 10 points per net dollar. Personal Triple Points Days cannot be used at nordstromrack.com, HauteLook or Last Chance; for Louis Vuitton purchases or for international orders. Louis Vuitton purchases will receive double points in lieu of triple points. Personal Triple Points Days are not cumulative as you progress through the Nordstrom Rewards levels. If you schedule your Personal Triple Points Day during existing double points events, you will receive triple points in lieu of double points. If you'd like to schedule your day(s), simply talk to your salesperson, call 1.800.446.4500 or shop Nordstrom.com and check the "Yes! Make this my Personal Triple Points Day" box at Checkout. (Make sure you've saved your Nordstrom card to the Payment Methods section of your Nordstrom.com account first.)

How many Personal Triple Points Days do I get?

Your annual number of Personal Triple Points Days varies by membership level:

Level 1: One day

Level 2: Two days

Level 3: Three days

Level 4: Four days

ALTERATIONS BENEFIT

How do Nordstrom Notes for alterations services work?

If you're at Level 1, 2 or 3, you will pay for alterations with your Nordstrom credit or debit card when you purchase the Nordstrom item associated with the alteration charge. You will then be reimbursed for the exact dollar value of the charge (up to the benefit amount for your level) in the form of Nordstrom Notes for use at any Nordstrom store, Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom.com. At this time, the alterations benefit is not available for the Nordstrom Visa check card and may only be refunded through a qualifying purchase using a Nordstrom credit or debit card.

What if I'm at Level 4?

Level 4 customers with Nordstrom credit cards will receive a credit for alterations, which you'll see on your monthly statement. If you have a Nordstrom debit card, you'll receive a transfer of the alterations refund amount into the deposit account linked to your Nordstrom debit card. You will receive unlimited complimentary alterations for items purchased at Nordstrom using a Nordstrom credit or debit card.

How much do I receive in Nordstrom Notes for alterations services?

The value of the alterations benefit varies by membership level. The benefit is not cumulative as you progress through the Nordstrom Rewards levels.

Level 1: Receive up to $100 in Nordstrom Notes for the cost of alterations services.

Level 2: Receive up to $200 in Nordstrom Notes for the cost of alterations services.

Level 3: Receive up to $300 in Nordstrom Notes for the cost of alterations services.

Level 4: Receive unlimited complimentary alterations in the form of statement credits on your Nordstrom credit card statement or a transfer of the alterations refund amount into the deposit account linked to your Nordstrom debit card.

How do I use the Notes I receive for alterations services?

The Notes you receive as reimbursement for your alterations services can be used just like any other Note. Spend them on anything you desire at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom.com.

Anniversary Sale Early Access

How do I take advantage of Early Access to the Anniversary Sale?

Nordstrom Rewards members are on the guest list to get into Nordstrom's best fashion event early—before it opens to the public. Learn more about Early Access and the Anniversary Sale dates. Please see your salesperson for additional details and to schedule your day to shop Early Access.

VIP Access to In-Store Events

What are the in-store event opportunities available to me?

As a Level 4 member, you can select one spa experience for you and a guest (including one spa service each) or a dining experience for you and up to three guests at a Nordstrom restaurant. Additionally, you will be invited to attend a private fall fashion shopping event, open to Level 4 customers and their guest only. You and a friend will enjoy drinks, appetizers and other special amenities while shopping and earning bonus points on new fall merchandise.

How do I redeem my VIP access benefit?

To schedule your spa or lunch/dinner experience, just call us at 1.800.446.4500. For the private shopping event, you don't have to do a thing—you will receive an exclusive invitation.
