Bonobos 'Weekday Warriors' Straight Leg Chinos
Tues Blacks & Fri Greys
I had been searching for a dress pant that fit well for months... I bought this style in the black and grey and they're simply amazing! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good fitting pant that is also comfortable.
Best khakis I have purchased in a long time. Very pleased.
PROS: Extremely comfortable; silky-smooth to the touch; the Thursday Brown looks chocolate-brown in certain light, deep olive-green with a green shirt in certain light, and even taupe in other light, while looking good with whatever shirt color you start with. CONS: Even with such a high-end material I still have the accordion-crotch look at the end of the day - I have a plain front, maybe the pleated front would allow more room and less wrinkles?; The zip fly is unusually and inconveniently short from top to bottom, which makes getting the goods in and out much more of a bother than it should be; get rid of the "Thursday" or any other day of the week on the inside of the belt area - very few men want anyone seeing that, and it does a real disservice to an otherwise fine line-up of colors. OVERALL: I purchased like-pants from Banana Republic, Eddie Bauer, and Lands End at the same time. The look and feel of these Bonobos once they come off the hanger and are on the bod seem to justify the highest-of-the-four price point, but some of the functionality issues mentioned above impact what could have been a far superior product.
I bought the brown color version, and in my bedroom, they looked to be brown. But when I took them to Nordstrom to get them adjusted, they turned the color grey. Under their lighting they looked grey. I asked the salesperson and the tailor what color they thought they were, and they both said grey. I was not surprised. I walked outside and they still looked grey. So, I returned them with much disappointment. Didn't want to take a chance on wearing them outside knowing that depending on the lighting, they could look brown or grey, or some variation.
