Brooks 'PureConnect 2' Running Shoe (Women)
These shoes are so comfortable and great for people with high arches. I've logged a couple weeks worth of indoor and outdoor runs in these and they feel like I have (stable) pillows on the bottom of my feet. The only complaint I have is that they tend to make my feet a little hotter than the Nike Free I was wearing before. But that can be remedied with different socks, too.
Go ahead, buy it.
I really didn't realize what a difference the right shoe would make. At first the arch seemed too high, but after a few miles on the treadmill and without socks, this shoe is unbelievable. My feet, legs, and knees are not tired at the end of my time on the treadmill, and I'd like to continue wearing them all day! I normally order a 7.5 in athletic shoes, 7 in other shoes. The 7.5 fit perfectly. I plan to take them with me to Europe for walking all day on excursions too.
I love these shoes!
I have plantar fasciitis, I pronate and I have custom made orthotics that I usually wear with my running shoes. I decided to try the Brooks PureConnect because wearing my orthotics was actually making my foot feel worse, and I was sick of wearing big ugly running shoes to the gym, when I'm not actually running. These shoes have actually exceeded my expectations. They hug my foot, have great arch support, and are so lightweight and comfortable that I never want to take them off. I wear them to the gym to do elliptical and weight workouts, and I have also walked for an hour at a time in them on the trail with no foot pain.
I want another pair to put in rotation!
Match made in heaven
My salesgirl at my local store told me that I NEEDED to try these when I came in to return another brand. I have high arches and these are, hands down, the most comfortable shoes ever. I ran 4 miles in them the first night I got them and my feet did not hurt during or after. The support is incredible and it feels like you are running on pillows on trampolines. Seriously. Love these! I don't even want to take them off when I get home.
I stayed true to size in an 8. I just got mine but will be buying another pair for backup in the near, near future (as in next payday!).
