Eileen Fisher Cotton & Linen Tweed Jacket
I tried this jacket on in an EF store, and loved it. SO, after deciding I could not live without, I ordered it from Nordstrom's. The medium jacket, same size as I had tried on, arrived, and was extraordinarily large in circumference and sleeve length. A medium is not a medium is not a medium, apparently, and I have run into this with Eileen's clothing in the past. Too bad, as it is a very lovely, versatile, classic piece, but the size was so out of whack and it went back. It would appear that this is a quality control issue, and it benefits this brand little to provide such inconsistency.
Cute but WAY too big
I usually wear an XS in EF but this was much too big. Great style and quality but had to return because the smallest regular size was voluminous. Might try the PP.
I am thrilled with this jacket. It looks great with jeans and white pants or shorts. I did originally have an issue with this jacket and addressed it with E.Fisher's office, which was not really helpful. This jacket has no pockets, but on E.F. website it was described with side pockets and the model has her hand in the pocket on their picture. This is a casual jacket and it begs for pockets, but the design was altered after pictures were taken. What a shame. Well, I loved it enough though, to keep it as is and wore it twice already this spring. I highly recommend it.
Online, this jacket says it has pockets, but it does not. I wish it did. The waste flares, so it makes me look bigger around the mid section than normal. WHen wearing this jacket all day, the top button kind of chokes me. If i unbutton it, and fold the colar towards me, it does not stay. It is a very cute and comfortable jacket, but here are parts about it that makes it not worth the price.
