Fantasie '4520' Smoothing Underwire Balconette Bra
Supportive but uncomfortable
To be fair, I think the band size I ordered might be just a teensy bit too small and that definitely affects the comfort of this bra a bit but the next size up is slightly too big and doesn't give the right support. I find the material to be a little scratchy and there needs to be more padding around the underwire. The cups are made of thin material but still offer support. This bra definitely lifts and separates (a little too much maybe). It isn't the most flattering bra on me but it does the job. I'm hoping it will get more comfortable as I wear it in.
I had ordered this bra online for the first time.... just wanted to try something different from what I normally wear. Which is the LeMystere Dream Tisha (In case they discontinue it). Well, I tried it on & everything fit nicely & comfortably. However... The bra has NO padding whatsoever! It's just a thin material covering your breasts..Meaning, your nipples are popping out & showing. Also, as a personal preference, I like the straps in the back to be a little thicker. Sorry to say, but I will be returning this bra & trying something different this time again.
Not for me
Because it said "smoothing," I thought that this was the same as the older tee-shirt molded Fantasie bra. It's not. The cups are thin, and they look tiny compared to my other Fantasie bras. Before I tried the bra on, I thought they had shipped the wrong size by mistake. I wear 34DD; have lost a lot of weight so I need a lot of support. The top of the cups cut into my bust so that it looked like I had two boobs on each side. It didn't have great support for the sides under the arms either. Also, I think too much nipple would show while wearing knits. The band size was fine, comparable to my other bras in that size where they start out a little snug and stretch out. (By the way ALL bras need more fabric at the end of the hooks - tired of hooks digging into my back if I am on the last row.) I will return it.
The bra's underwire come up much too high causing my breast to be pushed way off to my sides. This leads to no cleavage.
