Giorgio Armani 'Eyes to Kill' Intense Silk Eyeshadow
I ordered no. 13 after much deliberation and reading the other reviews.i was hoping to use it as an a lash liner/eyeliner of sorts, maybe that was not such a great idea.i have three other ETK that i love and wanted more of a good thing since i already have my much loved no.6(favorite) no 5..is awesome as well.and no.11 which i mostly use to highlight the brow bone.i have hazel eyes and fair skin with dark brown hair with blonde highlights.So..my fabulous idea to use this as an eyeliner failed.i did try it as an eyeshadow and ..well..maybe i was doing something wrong..it just didn't seem to wow me like no 6 does or even no 11...so..sadly i had to return it ..the other
ETK that i have are superb and have truly unbelievable staying power..through half a mile lap swim....
I bought #2 (Lust Red) and #15 (Copper/Black Grey). First of all Lust red is pretty much black, hardly any red in it. Copper/Black Grey is really gold, not much else. I bought these because of all the great reviews I read on these products and how great they were even on oily skin, but sadly they are not so great. They creased very badly within 3-4 hours. By the end of my work day, it was just terrible. I have to say that I had a better experience with Maybelline 24 hours Tattoo shadows. By the end of my work day, my eyeshadow stayed put and looked great. I was just very disappointed with these high end eyeshadows.
I ordered the #06 Khaki Pulse and the #15 Copper / Black Grey based on reviews. I love it! I've now ordered it in three more shades. Goes on smoothly and has great staying power. It's very easy to apply. And, I spend less time doing my eye make-up because I don't have to spend so much time getting it just right. I look forward to receiving my other colors.
This is a revolutionary product. Goes on easier than any powder or creme shadow I've ever used, blends beautifully and easily, is comfortable, and lasts until you take it off. One tap on my brush is enough to cover my entire eye. I have 4 colors: 2 (lust red - which is actually more of a deep charcoal with very subtle red highlights and the most matte of my colors), 3 (Purpura, Nordstrom does not sell this color - purple with slight gold shimmer), 6 (Khaki Pulse, khaki with gold highlights, high shimmer, looks great with my hazel eyes), and 15 (Copper/Black Grey - beautiful copper with subtle black highlights, high shimmer, this is my favorite). I have used Makeup Forever's Aqua waterproof creme eyeshadows and considered that product the best waterproof shadow on the market until trying Armani's Eyes To Kill Intense Silk. The downside: expensive; but as I mentioned above, just takes a little product to cover your entire eyelid; and some of the product does fall onto my nose and cheekbone with application, but I use a light dusting of face powder on this area before applying and the eyeshadow brushes off). This is a fairly high shimmer product (hence the name "Intense") but I wear these colors to work in a fairly conservative office environment. I hope Armani comes out with more colors, this is an incredible product.
