jane iredale Eye Highlighter Pencil
A big disappointment
I bought this to use on my inner lower eyelid for a "wide awake" (i.e. not middle aged) look, as I have been hearing about this alternative to my usual dark tight liner.
This pencil seems to not stick at all to my lid, even though I dry my lid first with a tissue (sounds icky, but it usually works to get eye crayon to stay). And once I get it on, you can't even tell I've even applied it.
I have also just tried Benefit Bright Eyes and Tarte emphasEYES.
Benefit Bright Eyes is phenomenal - I plan to stick with that one for my main go to pencil.
I'm keeping the Tarte in my purse.
I'm returning the Jane Iredale pencil.
Simply Didn't Work
They easily applied to the back of my hand, but would not adhere to my lid. I tried on my lids 1) "as is", 2) with a bit of moisturizer, 3) completely dry, 4) with Smash Box Photo Finish, and 5) with my old stand-by Alexandra de Markoff Disquise for Eyes. At the end all I got were inflamed lids, crumbles of white everywhere, and broken off tips. I may think I will ask for a refund and send it back. Else, it's going in the trash.
The Perfect Accent
This pencil provides just the right touch to brighten my eyes without being too glittery. It glides on very well too, doesn't pull the delicate skin around my eyes. Also, I have had some sensitivities to eye makeup occsionally in the past, but I have no trouble using this product.
The white side of this opencil does not have ANY staying power,..plus it flakes. It is not a smooth application. The pink side is better, for under the brow bone,.however the tip broke off after 2 uses,
