I didn't think I could use a mineral foundation on my dry, sensitive, but my dermatologist recommended this. This formula is actually more moisturizing than the loose powder formula. I tried another mineral makeup brand initially but the bismuth in it irritated my skin. One thing - the color palette on the Nordstrom site is not very accurate. If you haven't ordered it before, I would look at the colors on the Jane Iredale website.

I was very hesistant to try this....I had tried Bare Minerals, and the colors are off for me, as well as heavy cakey coverage. ANyway, this is the bomb. It isn't messy, as in the compact, finely milled, intense color. It isn't horribly mat. You can build the coverage. I apply it over my moisturizer/sunblock, which gives it more of a luminous, velvety finish. You can also apply it wet or spritz it after with a water mist. It has excellent, buildable coverage. And the ingredients are so good, hardly anything in it, and not bad for you. Jane has loads of color options, and the ones I need, yellow based to counteract my redness from rosacea. Her website has the options, far more than nordstrom carries. SO check it out! Like I said, very hesistant to go back this way again, but it was worth it. A GREAT PRODUCT. I also love love that it doesn't come off on your clothes, cell-phone etc. THe only foundation that has ever not come off for me. Oh, I apply it with Sonia Kashuks foundation brush, round flat synthetic brush, which works well for me. I have not tried the handi brush, but looks good. I like the synthetic brush, as I do like to apply it wet or over slightly damp moisturized skin, so I can wash this brush easier, as I do often. I CHOOSE BISQUE, and it works well for my irish, fair reddish toned skin.

Only use this brand of mineral makeup- this is recommended by derms everywhere. It helps calm my skin and it good for it. Covers well and lots of colors. I love it!!!

Use the cover for the case in your purse and it will keep the metal nicer.

This is the best foundation I have ever used. It is very lightweight, makes my skin look flawless, the spf coverage is great and it does not make my face itch. I love the look of the gold compact that it comes in, even if it is a little heavy. The compact is refillable which makes it good for the environment. I will repurchase again.
