Finally! My heels don't slip; they stay put!
For at least the last 6 years, I have been fighting the constant battle of my heels slipping out of my high-heeled shoes when I'm walking. And I've been using all kinds of heel grips and foot pads to try to keep my shoes firmly on my feet. I'd given up on ever finding a pair of high-heeled shoes that stayed on my feet without needing to be glued in place. However, these shoes STAY ON MY FEET!
I tested them on hard flooring; on soft flooring; walking fast; walking slow; wearing all brands of hosiery carried by Nordstrom (some brands increase slipping heels); early in the day and late at night. They passed my tests.
About the price: The price of the shoes, unfortunately, isn't easily ignored. However, if you've grown very weary of fighting the battle of slipping heels and/or you have an occasion(s) for which you need to be able to walk confidently and focus on matters much more important than hoping you don't walk out of your shoes at the wrong moment, then these shoes are well worth giving up something (even more than just one something) so you have room in your budget for these.
About comfort: I'm someone who only wears flats when I'm wearing sneakers while working out. Otherwise I'm either barefoot or I'm wearing at least 4" heels. I wear 4" heels 12+ hours a day and I'm sitting for much less than 1/2 that time. These shoes don't make me think about my feet. So in my book, they get a 5-star rating for comfort. Plus .. It's just so nice not to have to be worrying about walking out of them.
About the color: I do not agree with the reviewer who said the color of these shoes are between Royal Blue and Navy Blue. IMO, they're don't evoke Royal Blue any more than pink evokes black.. However, the dye used on these shoes is a full spectrum color -- something you see only at more expensive price points, e.g, full spectrum paint such as that by F***** & B*** (also a UK brand). So the blue of these shoes changes color depending on the light and depending on what other colors are reflecting off of them. These shoes can and do look all sorts of shades of navy blue. They will never always look the same color, regardless of the what you wear them with or what the lighting is like. Which happens to work out perfectly for me: I have at least a dozen different colors of navy blue in my wardrobe and I will be wearing them countless places, morning, noon, and night.
About the size: I wear a 5.5 medium. My foot isn't on the narrow side, but neither is it on the wide side. I don't have anything funky about my feet (other than I've worn high heels for 30 years). I ordered a size 5.5 medium in these shoes. Their fit exceeded my expectations. So I agree with the other reviewers who've said to order your usual size and forget wondering whether you should size up.
About quality: For the price, I'd much prefer they were made in Italy and not Spain. However, I don't think the quality suffers for their being made in Spain. The stitching is microscopic. Where the soles are joined to the platforms and the platforms joined to the uppers -- there are zero flaws, in both attachment and alignment. Ditto for the heels and how / where they're attached. The patent leather looks and bends like leather, not plastic. As I expect from a shoe at this price point: there is no need to deliberate whether they look cheap.
One last thing about the shoe -- the back portion of the upper that surround the heel on your foot: it is shaped to mimic a foot. It gets noticeably narrower in two dimensions: from bottom to top and from front to back. And this is I think, the secret to why these shoes stay on my feet. I've compared these shoes to [name almost any brand at almost any price point ] and the shape / construction of the back of the upper on this shoe is like almost no other. Can you tell I'm so glad to have found a pair of shoes with which I do not have to do battle? :)

I loved this shoe from the min I put it on.
I would strongly recomend it (color and fit) to anyone.
If you are looking for a deep navy pump this is the one for you!

Beautiful ... For someone else
I usually don't wear heels over 2 1/2 - 3", but I thought, based on reviews, that I might be able to wear these. Nope -- can't seem to walk in heels this high, and my heel rubbed. I think they are both elegant and sexy, though. The platform makes them cooler than the average pump, and the patent is a very deep blue, appropriate for dressy and less formal occasions. One star off for heel rubbing.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I went back and forth on ordering the 'Sledge' pump because I wasn't thrilled with how the foot pitch looked in the pictures. I took a chance and figured that if they didn't feel right I could always send them back. I was so excited when they arrived I put them on immediately and wore them the rest of the day to help break them in. The heel definitely doesn't feel as high as it looks and I'm sure that the platform helps with that feeling. I ordered my usual European size 37 #I'm a 6.5 in US sizes and I have a wider foot than normal# and it felt a bit stiff and narrow when I first put them on but once I walked around in them for a little while it definitely loosened up. I own the L.K. Bennett 'Shilo' pumps in and had the same problem until they had been broken in a little. I love these 'Sledge' pumps so much I may just have to order them in the black and taupe patent leather models.
