LOVE IT! These are stunning - simple elegance, yet full of character and femininity - not your regular hoop earring - these are awesome and a gorgeous design! 5/31/12

Absolutely...STUNNING!! These are amazing, elegant beautiful earrings and I could not be happier! The large size are whisper light. They have a great deal of "volume" in terms of visual impact but due to the fine metal work and thin construction they manage to be understated. They live up to the name "Flirt" because they have great movement and catch the light in very charmingly elusive ways...so they literally flirt with your eye! The 2.5" diameter is perfect ...any smaller and it would be a different look; any larger and there can be issues with how the earrings interact with your collars/shoulders/neck etc. and in some ways much larger hoops make the actual earring less appreciable. (Not saying I don't wear larger ones...I do, but with some of these concerns in mind...) I love earrings and really love hoops and particularly gold hoops (that are like these, MADE of gold..) These are supremely wearable because they are light and they dress both down AND up very well. They are beautifully crafted. It did take me a while to decide to get these as I think for 14k they are a bit overpriced and I wish they were 18K, but that said, they are very fine and worth owning. I highly recommend these...they will be awesome for summer. Now I want the Lana lariat necklace show in the photo too... One note: the description on these and the smaller version say that you can wear them either with the split part at the bottom, or adjust the thin ear wire so that the split part seems to emerge from your ear going forward. True, you can do both and both look great, but I found that the weight of that split section makes them slide to the position in the photo. And, I think they look best in that position so this is not a problem, just an observation. Last word: I am puzzled by the reviewer who gave these 1* and said hers broke...and she was miserable. What is weird about that? Well, I buy aLOT of jewelry at Nordstrom; they have amazing customer service and an amazing return policy. If her pair WAS defective she could take them in and Nordstrom will take care of that...ESPECIALLY with Fine Jewelry, which these are. I have returned an inexpensive fashion jewelry cuff with no receipt or tags after 6 months because the finish wore so badly and they were great. So for a $700 earring breaking after a few wearings...(defect??...also odd as Italian gold is typically superbly crafted...) she had recourse to Nordstrom. So that said, I cannot put alot of stock in that review at all. Just saying.....I didn't let that review sway my decision to buy. WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!! 3/26/12

how did it break???? I bought these earrings a week ago and have worn them everday. They are such pretty earrings to wear with just about anything, dressy or casual. Today as I dressed I tried to put them on. It was difficult to get one to "latch" or go into the hole. I tried and tried and tried. Finally I took both earrings off and noticed that a few centimeters were simply "gone" from one earring. The end with the hole was missing. I have NO idea how this happened as I have treated these earrings with care as they are delicate. I am wondering if perhaps I pulled them apart roughly yesterday when I removed them. These earrings are not cheap and should not just simply break without having been treated in a brusque or severe manner. I am perplexed as to how the one earring was ruined. I am sad :( 12/14/11

Must Be Seen In Person My husband gave me these as a gift, they are so beautiful I wanted to write a review. As I view them on the website, they look awful! This photo does not do this earring justice at all. I would not purchase this earring for this price by viewing this photo. Go to Nordy's and take a look at the Lana jewelry in person. It is really classy and looks very stylish on; and these pieces will be timeless in your jewelry wardrobe. I own two pair of Lana earrings, they are my favorite. I have a small earlobe and it was pierced very low. I always have trouble wearing large earrings as they typically are too heavy and pull on the lobe. These are feather-lite. They can be worn to dress up a casual outfit and they can be worn with a cocktail dress. Love them. MUST BE SEEN. 10/28/11
