Lancôme 'Hypnôse Star' Mascara 3.8 5 11 11

Burdensome Application Lancôme thought they were doing us a favor by offering a mascara with a dual-sided brush, when in reality this is burdensome to working women with limited time in the morning. I was drawn in by the gorgeous packing with all its' curves and glitter and am disappointed that this will be going back for a less fussy product. The reason you need both sides is because too much product is deposited on the brush and it takes a lot of time to fix this issue during application. My suggestion is to sample this at the makeup counter and see if it is right for your routine. 5/7/13

Great Definition Pros: I agree with the product description in most respects. I think this mascara does a great job of separating, defining and curling lashes. I found if I use the flat side of the wand on the base of my eyelashes first, and then use the longer, angled bristles through the rest of my eyelashes, I get the best, lash-lengthening affect. Overall the quality of this mascara is commendable. It doesn't flake and seems to last for the whole day. Cons: While the brush works well, I find it a little annoying to use at times. It may be that I just have terrible coordination, but I feel like the shape of the brush makes putting on the mascara a bit tricky. In addition, I don't feel like this is the most volumizing formula. I get more "doll-like" lashes with mascara like le volume by Chanel. A very good product. Try it for yourself. Just because it's not my favorite mascara, doesn't mean it can't be yours. 4/14/13

Not what I expected Container is beautiful and chic. It smells delicious, but it cannot be compared with the traditional hypnose. It does not give me much volume or length like the original. 2/2/13
