Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 4.5 5 50 50

Not for me - made me shiny and gave me pimples I have heard great things about Laura Mercier's makeup line so I decided to give it a try. I've been looking for the best foundation/tinted moisturizer for my semi acne prone and oily skin. The first time I tried wore it, it was great and seemed long lasting (just like any other product you try for the first time). But I decided to continue using the product for 2-3 weeks so I could get a real feel for the product. I read several reviews about mini white heads forming and that it made your skin look shiny, so I was cautious. Here are my observations. I used moisturizer (for combination skin) underneath the primer and the tinted moisturizer as the associate instructed, and I found that my skin got shiny after an hour of wear. When I skipped putting on the moisturizer, my skin wasn't AS shiny, but it still got shiny after a few (3) hours of wear. When I wear sunglasses and take them off, there's a huge divit on my nose bridge from the sunglasses -- the tinted moisturizer easily smudges off. My face is not super oily, but if I'm in the sun for 15-20 minutes, my face gets shiny instantly. After about a week of using this product, I noticed a few small pimples. Although I was looking for a product that was 'good' for my skin, it seemed like my face was better BEFORE I purchased and used this product. Some say that this gives you a "dewy" look, but It gave me an obvious shine that I would not call dewy. I liked that the coverage was medium/buildable (but not full covg) and would probably recommend this to someone with dry/combination skin. I liked how the shade matched my skin perfectly, and that it is sheer so it is a little forgiving if I tan. I will caution that this product may give you a few pimples. I also noticed that the texture seemed a little sticky..after applying it with my foundation brush, my brush looked slick and shiny...not for me. 5/8/13

My go to Absolutely in love with this product. I was introduced to it from reading Instyle as 2012 best tinted moisturizer. It's perfect for me because it has light coverage enough to cover redness and doesn't give me an allergic reaction. I only need a pea size to cover my face and it's consistency isn't runny. I use the color Bisque (A PERFECT MATCH) and my boyfriend can't even tell I'm wearing makeup. The girl who helped me find my shade was super sweet as she tried two shades on me and used other Laura Mercier products to complete my look that I am also completely in love with. It leaves a dewy finish which is perfect for summer and is so easy to put on. Even though it's a little pricey, it's definitely worth the purchase! I don't think I'll find another tinted moisturizer as right as this one. 5/6/13

Fantastic lightweight coverage I have very sensitive skin with hormonal breakouts in the chin area. I also have a neutral undertone, tending golden when I pick up any color during the summer months. I have tried so many foundations from the different major lines, and most are too matte, too heavy in coverage, break me out, or all of the above. This product is as close to perfect as I have found. While I love both the regular and oil-free versions, the oil-free provides a bit more coverage and evens my skin tone and covers redness better than the moisturizing version. I wear Nude in both formulations. I have noticed I receive more compliments that my skin is "glowing" when I wear the oil-free version, perhaps because it covers a bit more while still looking natural. This does not cake or settle in fine lines, and just gives you a glowing look while still giving some coverage for uneven skin tone and minor flaws. I use the pot concealer to give more coverage in the under eye area and for any blemishes or dark spots from fading blemishes. Good color match, no breakouts, and good coverage that plumps up the skin and makes it glow; I can't expect more from a tm than that. I have scoured every line, I mean every line, and always stay loyal to LM because I truly think it is the best cosmetic line on the market today. My only complaint about this product is that it does not have broad-spectrum coverage, but I also believe none of us should be relying solely on our tm or foundation for sun protection, which requires a well-applied broad spectrum SPF 30 sunblock or sunscreen. I highly recommend this product, and the entire line. 3/22/13
