Longchamp 'Le Pliage' Backpack, Small
Simple yet so chic.
I love love love this back pack. It definitely goes with every outfit I wear. From conservative to casual, I bring this back pack with me everywhere! How fabulous is it that I'm able to wear a back pack and still feel chic and posh? I have one in Navy Blue and I am super happy with my purchase. Need I say more?
elegant and practical bag
I love this Longchamp bag, it's very elegant. The bilberry is very dark in shade, almost a midnight purple, very beautiful. It's darker than the bilberry tote I have from a few years ago so I don't know if they changed the shade or it's just this dark for the backpack. The style is roomier than you think and is super lightweight but not flimsy. Very comfortable straps though the straps are canvas. Leather would be slippery on the shoulders, these straps stay put. I've tried different backpack style "purses" and this one is by far the best in elegance and practicality while also being lightweight. Sturdy without being bulky.
Perfect Size and Life Friendly
This little backpack is roomier than it looks. At max, I was able to squeeze in: wallet, keys, lip balm, water bottle, a light, knitted sweater, an instax instant film camera (bulky), a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera (w/20mm-50mm lens attached), AND hand lotion.
When adjusted properly, the straps distributed the weight evenly on my shoulders so my things felt lighter than they actually are and I was able to carry them for 10hrs before my shoulders started to feel sore and tired.
I don't mind that the straps aren't made out of leather so I don't have to agonize over them when they get worn out. I also feel that the backpack will be more durable this way.
To sum it up, this backpack performed above my expectations while being sophisticated enough to fit a girl in her late twenties. ;)
Good size, quality could be better
My chiropractor recommended I stop carrying my handbags on one shoulder, so I sought out a backpack style. I found a few options from MK and MJ, but this Longchamp was the perfect size and material (I live in rainy Seattle). Like some other reviewers said, the non-leather straps are a turn off. Additionally, there's only one small inside pocket and no lining or other marks of quality aside from the leather flap and handle. Nonetheless, it fit my needs in size, being lightweight, and water resistant. The zipper comforts me in knowing that my belongings are tucked safely inside, but keep in mind that the bag needs to be held a certain way to successfully use the zipper to open and close the bag. I've taken this on two trips, to music festivals, and use it almost daily. It gives me convenience with a bit of style. Still I do see that this design has much more potential. I would be willing to pay a bit more for nicer straps, at the least.
