Nike 'Dual Fusion Run Livestrong' Running Shoe (Women)
Not what I hoped
I read all about these shoes on different running websites while trying to make the decision about what shoes to get. I thought I would be safe. I tried them on in my house and they felt good, but when I took them for a run, both times my feet went numb. They were overall just an uncomfortable shoe. The shape of the shoe is also a little odd, they make it look like you are wearing old lady orthotics. I ordered my normal Nike size and it was about right. The main part of the shoe I didn't like was the sole and foot support. I think they aren't worth $80.
I read the reviews and recommendation to order a 1/2 size larger but 12 is as long as they get! So I tried anyway- love the color and fit other than they are a tiny bit too short. I may try with really thin socks but I also ordered 2 more pairs to see if by chance one pair might be a tiny bit longer......
I was a little concerned about this shoe when I put it on the first time and was a little stiff. I went on my walk and was ecstatic that nothing was going to bother me with this shoe. Arch support is wonderful...not too high...I also did what the instructions suggested and went up 1/2 size so it fit perfect. The width couldn't be better. I love everything about this shoe ...the color actually goes with more things then you could imagine.
I wore them 1 whole day and into the evening and was on my feet most of the time and felt great when I got home. Fantastic shoe!
Different look to toe of shoe than other Nikes
The toe of this shoe is more rounded than other Nikes. I like the look of the newer Nikes. Otherwise I like the color of the shoe and the arch support is average. I am usually a 7-7.5 in shoes and I always go with the 7.5 in Nikes.
