Nina 'Evelixa' Peep Toe Pump
These shoes are killer cute! But........they have a second insole that has its seam positioned directly under the ball of your foot...my feet are still sore a week after wearing them for four hours with NO dancing or standing for any extended period of time. Also, the quality control from the manufacturer is almost zero. Went thru three pairs until our wedding was just two days away and I had few options left. Ivory shoes arrived damaged (cuts in the ribbons), dirty on the satin and on the outside of the shoe, and the last two pair did not have ivory ribbons on the ivory shoes as advertised...but a light taupe ribbon! I have a pair of old Nina heels that are so comfortable and well built that I still wear them. Obviously the quality has dropped. Don't buy these shoes...you will be sad and sore! Might be why they aren't carried in the stores!!
Received lots of good compliments, however, very narrow shoe, and could not use shoe horn to stretch out, so made it difficult to wear for extended period of time, one time use is all i get out of this shoe!
Beautiful Comfortable Shoes!
I absolutely love Nina shoes, so when I needed a pair of shoes for my friends wedding I turned to Nina.
As her bridesmaid she asked we wear grey shoes and I cannot believe how hard they are to find! The steel color is beautiful and was perfect for my dress. They shoes are extremely comfortable (I ordered them a half size bigger than I normally wear) and I did not take them off all evening.
My only complaint about the Evelixa is that I wish the bow stood up a little higher (as pictured) rather than laying flat against the shoe.
I bought these shoes to go with a dress I also purchased online from Nordstrom and was thrilled to see the color was a perfect match (just a shade lighter than navy). The heel was higher than I expected, but by then I had already fallen in love with them. They are a full 4-inch heel, so don't expect to be dancing all night in these beauties. I made it through the ceremony and dinner, but had to switch to flats for the wedding dance. The ribbon detail adds interest.
