Nordstrom at Home 'Carson' Duvet Cover
Better than satisfied w 2nd choice duvet
I should say up font that my happiness with the teal Carson duvet is probably more remarkable, given that it was a second choice, budget-driven option. I desperately wanted a lime and teal zig-zag patterened duvet by Allem Studios, but I simply was not willing to pay $375 and I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere.
I was looking for a bright, geometric pattern on very soft cotton. I find that CB2 and West Elm's materials are just not that comfortable, despite great design. The great thing about the Carson duvet is that the pintucks give it that geometric visual quality, and they are clean-lined rather than fussy, I'm very happy with the visual effect, although we are going to need some contrasting throw pillows. We do have an old IKEA throw with lots of teal and green that looks fantastic as an accent at the foot of the bed.
Comfort-wise, this is 275-thread count. It's as good as 300, which is what I had been looking for. The cotton is soft and feels durable. The cover itself doesn't add too much weight to the actual duvet I'm covering. In short, it' feels quite nice to sleep under this.
Con: this duvet cover shows pet hair more clearly than our last one. It's going to need to be washed more often. Hopefully that won't cause it to wear out too quickly.
ps: shipping was faster than expected!
