PIKOLINOS 'Brujas' Boot
Comfortable but noisy
The boots are comfortable, but when I walk, they are really noisy. I've had similar problems with some Pikolino flats that were noisy.
Additionally, the zipper was very hard to get started, but perhaps that was only for my pair of boots. If you don't mind making lots of noise, or you plan to wear them just on carpet, then I thought the were great.
I am writing in gratitude for all who took the time to review this product. I rely on them to help me make an informed decision. I wear 5M but usually order a half size bigger in a boot to accommodate socks. However, experience has taught me that European sizing tends to run larger so, I ordered 35 (5M). They are perfect in every respect. I am delighted. Thank you to all previous purchasers. I can hardly wait for my fashionista 12 year old granddaughter to notice them. "Wow, Grandma, way to go."
I got these in brown in my usual size 38. I have not worn them outside of the house yet, but my initial impression is very good. The quality and craftsmanship appear to be high. I wanted a boot that would be my winter-time sneakers -- comfy, long-lasting, and worry-free. I think I got that. They look like they will age nicely and last well. A tag indicates they have been water-proofed. I have bunions but did not feel the shoe was too narrow. I had hoped to wear these with skinny jeans tucked in, but that does not look right because they are not tall enough and my jeans blouse out. I also wish I had gotten a boot with a higher heel because these look like flats when you look at yourself straight on (doesn't do much for lengthening your legs). However, I am keeping them because I think they will be my comfortable, everyday winter shoe. I also appreciated receiving a leather care kit in the box.
great lil boot
this boot is a keeper - comfy and the right amount of style. i lament the now ever-present zippers - this could have been made w/out one. still, the color and finish of the leather is juuust right. as for sz: runs the tiniest bit on the small side (if you must wear thick socks w these, go up a half sz), but consistent w, for instance, sam edelman shoes and the way jeff campbell USED to fit (inexplicably, jc shoes have become smaller.). most likely not for a wider foot - for me the problem is shoes being too wide; these are a great fit for me. fit is also = to prada, though not prada sport.
