POVERTY FLATS by rian Perforated Mini Clutch
Right out of the delivery box (I ordered on-line) the chain strap was twisted and wouldn't straighten out. I couldn't get the kinks out and returned it to the Nordstrom store the next day.
Really cute, but . . .
This purse is even cuter in person than in the photos. Love the blue and yellow pattern.
I'm returning it, though, for three reasons:
1. The chain is really heavy, wow.
2. The metal clasp and chain are a darker metal color than I expected. It looks more gold-like in the photos; it's barely gold-like in person (yet not silver-like either; just . . . dark, as if the gold had been rubbed off).
3. The light-colored thread stitching that's used in the light interior pops through on the end sides and is very noticeable against the blue exterior. I know this sounds trivial, but it really stands out. And the stitches are messy. I thought about trimming them, but that would have compromised the integrity of the structure.
I wanted to like this so much.
Do not expect this bag to be designer quality. The material is very soft to the touch and looks adorable as well. The chains do get tangled and it can be frustrating and time-consuming to untangle them. The bag is big enough to fit essentials like a small wallet, phone, keys, and lipstick. What grabbed my attention was the design and the colors. It was exactly what I was looking for and at a reasonable price. This bag is worth my $40.
