Steve Madden 'Lynxx' Boot
I love these boots. I still need to break in the soles a bit, they are a bit slippery.
Like most Steven Madden boots I own, the length of the boot is unique. I am 5'3" and have relatively long legs for my petite stature and the top of the boot hits just slightly below my knees. This doesn't bother me as far as comfort goes but sometimes might look a little funny with longer tunics because it doesn't show much leg as far as your leggins or denim goes.
It never fails, I get compliments from at least one person every time I wear the boots.
Disappointed in Nordstrom's
These boots are very cute. They ARE tall, so if you are short they will be too tall. My HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT is in Nordstrom's quality control. I purchased them as a birthday gift for my daughter. They arrived with a large stain on the top of one of the boots. It was the top boot in the box, and was visible the instant I opened the box. I am dismayed b/c whoever packaged them should have checked. Of course, there are none left in her size, so no birthday boots. :( HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
Lovely boots, if you can get them on
I was so excited when I saw these online. They were exactly what I wanted.
I bought them in the store, I go between an 8.5 and a 9. The 9 was way too big in the foot but comfortable in the calf. My calves are average I would say.
I tried the 8.5 and they were really hard to get on, but once I got my foot in they were great. I thought they would get easier to put on as I kept wearing them but today the cloth lining in the left heal totally ripped and I've only worn them a few times. I'm pretty disappointed and will be returning them tomorrow. Hopefully I can get a replacement pair but I'm not sure because I don't want them to rip again. :(
I'd recommend to a tall friend.
This is a very beautiful boot. I'm a 7.5 and the boot fits very true to size, but I can't squeeze my foot though with my socks on. Once my foot is in it feels good and I have plenty of calf room, enough for jeans.
I don't like where this boot hits my knee. The bottom of my knee rests on the egde of the boot and digs into the bottom of my knee cap. It makes my knee look fat and my inner knee look bulbus. It's not a good look. I think I will only be able to wear this boot with skinny jeans, once I get my foot to fit in with a sock on.
