Stride Rite 'Will' Sneaker (Baby, Walker & Toddler)
These were a great price & they are a great shoe. My sons foot is inbetween a regular and a wide shoe so I've continued to purchase the wide shoe so his foot is comfortable with a sock (& so the velcro closes all the way across). I bought 2 pairs and I buy them in half size increments because he'll inevitably grow out of these in 3 months! Great quality.
great value, quality product, hard to find wide width, real leather
Love the shoes
My son likes his new shoes. Very easy to put on and take off.
Well made shoe
First, please don't give a shoe one star because of warehouse issues. I ordered these in a 6.5W, a 7W, and an 8W for my toddler. However, while the 8 arrived well paired, the 7 had TWO LEFT shoes in the box AND while one shoe was a 7W, the other appears to be a size 5. The 5 looks to have been worn because the size info printed on the inside of the tongue looks worn out as if a sock has been rubbing but when kids are that size shoe it's possible they never really walk outside so no other signs of being worn. maybe they were constantly tried on and returned. Who knows.
Although this is annoying and an inconvenience, and could be upsetting if the right size no long exists at this great price, because of the time it took to get the item, etc...This shoe is well made.
The white parts are made of smooth soft leather (kind I would want on my sofa) and the colored blue/grey, olive green, and all grey parts appear to be of fuzzy or smooth suede.
My 17 mo son outgrew this same 'will' sneaker (brown leather style) in a size 5.5W when he first started walking and he had great stability and confidence. Of course as a beginner he didn't pick up his feet well and the sole being super grippy would cause him to stumble when trying to 'run' (i.e. fast walk)---then again SRT lists these as a Step 3 shoe but he is tall for his age so he outgrew Step 2 before really walking.
The details of this new 'will' are great. The materials are great and colors look really good! The shoe is light. And there is no doubt the fit and style are popular because the 'will' sneaker has been around for years. They are flexible, light, and just look like really comfy shoes and not stiff or constraining, even more so then the all brown leather ones. Lastly, they have 2 velcro closures and this makes getting them on kid feet nice and easy, especially when they curl their toes. But more importantly the velcro straps are 2 different lengths for better micro adjustments AND the velcro doesn't run continuously on the straps which makes for more flexible closures.
I do think he disliked the shoes when he had socks with grippy lettering on the bottom but was fine with socks that were normal (I think they gripped the inside of the shoe and made it feel weird, who knows, I don't have grippy socks in my size to try out in my sneakers). Anyway, I'm still waiting for the 6.5W pair to arrive so he can wear these shoes right away.
