Sultra 'Uptown Chic' Bun Shaper
I love this little mesh circle. This bun shaper is far superior to using a traditional sock. I'm pretty terrible at updos and never do them, but this makes a gorgeous and elegant updo in like 30 seconds (literally).
However, like some of the other reviewers have mentioned, you do need quite a bit of hair to cover the bun. My hair is about down to my chest, fine but pretty full, and it just BARELY covers it. It matches my hair well enough that nobody will be able to tell if a little mesh is peeking out.
Definitely glad I bought this, well worth the money.
First of all this bn is huge and I have thinner hair passed my bra line and don't have near enough hair for it. Luckily, you buy in your color so it can look like it is your hair and blends in. I struggle to put it on and my right arm starts killing me for it. It takes me 6 to 8 attempts to get done. I can't get it high up on my head though. I can only get it to sit on the back of my head and it holds very well all day. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it but i would prefer to be able to sit it up high on my head and camn't get it there yet. I want a younger look and i feel like I look older when it sits on the lower back of my head. The bun could have been thinner and smaller though. Beats the cutting up a brown or black sock.
I have thin hair but its long, and a lot of thin hair and this was way too big to use.
I'm in love with this thing!! You can use it for chignons, tight buns, loose buns, or just to give your updo more volume and fullness. I don't like the sock thing because it makes the bun too tight and severe... I just don't care for that look. This way, you can pin it as you like it... loose or tight, messy or really clean and it looks great any way. Also, it is light as air. I have really long medium thickness hair. It may not work as well for really thin or shorter hair that isn't at least to shoulders.
