Timex® 'Easy Reader' Leather Strap Watch
So disappointing :(
Ordered this for my boyfriend and it's so nice...except totally doesn't work. It is so slow, and after replacing the battery still falls hours behind very quickly. I replaced it with another and the new one does the exact same thing. I don't understand why these watches are broken.
Saw this featured in Men's Journal magazine several months ago and decided then I'd really like to have it. When one of my sons asked what I wanted for Christmas
this was the first item on my list and he came through. It's really a great looking watch and I'm sure Timex reliability is still applicable, i.e. "takes a licking and keeps on ticking".
Simple weekend watch
I was looking for a weekend and hiking watch that I wouldn't be concerned with scratching. Timex has a reputation for making tough watches so I gave this one a try. The watch is pretty basic and seems to be decent quality. The watch does tick loudly and the band feels more synthetic than suede. For the price I am happy as long as it lasts me at least 3 years I'll get what I was hoping for. If you're looking for a quality time piece to wear for the next 20 years this is definitely not going to be the one. If you need a cheap watch to wear for workouts, hiking, or just casual weekends this should do the job well for a few years.
I purchased this watch in hopes of giving it to my boyfriend for Christmas. My local Nordies didn't have it in stock so I took a chance and ordered it, because most of the things I order from Nordstrom are of good quality regardless of price. When the watch arrived, I was very unimpressed. The watch looks very nice online, but when I saw it in person the strap is a cheap looking fake suede, instead of the nice looking leather that is in the photo. I bought something else for my boyfriend and I will be returning this item.
