Yves Saint Laurent 'Rouge Volupté Shine' Lipstick
Best "shine" lipstick
Rouge Volupte Shine is the best "shine" lipstick, IMHO. It's shiny, but pigmented, it glides on smooth, color is rich and saturated, doesn't sink into lines, doesn't dry out my lips, but doesn't feel sticky. It has slip to it, but not too much that its bleeds or requires lip liner. It's longevity is about average, maybe 2-3 hours, but the deeper shades leave a nice stain on the lips. My favorite shades are Pink in Devotion and Fuschia in Rage. In my book, it's loads better than Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine and maybe tops Tom Ford's Lip Color Shne by a smidge.
This lipstick makes your lips look juicy. Its extremely moisturizing and glides on easily. It smells like papayas to me. You won't need a gloss with this lipstick as it is very shiny on its own.
At long last; long lasting lipstick!
Finally, a long lasting lipstick! I have been searching for some pretty, flattering on the lips, long wearing lipstick for years. I am not kidding! I have tried many department store sold brands and drugstore brands and have had no luck. Yes, there were a lot of nice ones but all the reapplying, having to pair with a gloss, and mix with a lip liner just annoyed me. For a few years I only wore clear gloss and chap stick because of being fed up. So, recently I decided to go on a lipstick hunt and try out a few brands in the store and I happen upon this brand. Pricey but worth it after I have probably spent tons on ones that don't last anyway. I love that fact that this lipstick feel great on, is pretty, last for hours, and doesn't need to be paired with gloss and liners. I bought the Nude & Fushia! Love both but the Fushia is surprisingly my fav!
I love the color (#17) of this creamy lipstick on my olive skin tone. It is translucent and the case is so beautiful too.
