disappointing When I first put on this mascara, I loved it; the effect was great. I would have given it five stars if I had written a review right after application. Unfortunately, within several hours, I looked like a raccoon....smeared under both eyes, and I only wear mascara on my top lashes. I thought that maybe it was due to my use of lash conditioner underneath the mascara, so the next day, I didn't use it the conditioner. Same problem...heavy smudges under my eyes by mid-day. Had to return this product and go back to my regular brand (Trish McEvoy). 5/2/13

Great stuff This is well worth the money. I've been using Lancôme defencils for over 10 yrs. I tried this just to see. I think this will be my new mascara. Also, I have hazel eyes and the burgundy is fabulous. 4/9/13

Overwhelming, irritating fragrance The minute I opened this I noticed the fragrance in it. I should have probably stopped then (i am very sensitive) but I had it in hand and wanted to see if it was as great as I'd read. Well, it really goes on nice but within minutes I was scratching my eyes and had to take it off. This is probably a good mascara if you are not sensitive, but if you are you had best skip over this product. I ordered 3 mascaras the day I got this- Diorshow for my college age daughter as it is her favorite, this YSL mascara and Armani Eyes to Kill. The Armani is now my go-to mascara. 3/12/13

Great Mascara This mascara goes on well. I bought fascinating violet which is perfect for cool skin. It's subtle over brown mascara or eyelashes, and it's obviously violet on blonde eyelashes. The color can be worn day or night. Also, this mascara doesn't bother my eyes. It lasts and stays on until you remove it. 3/7/13
