The North Face Clothing Technology.

The new standard in sweat removal and temperature regulation, FlashDry™ fabrics feature a microporous particle additive at the fiber level to accelerate the removal of moisture from the skin and speed evaporative drying. This weightless, bulk-free technology enables users to stay drier and more comfortable, and to perform longer in a wide range of weather conditions and environments, without ever washing or wearing out.
For superior warmth and comfort, The North Face products are insulated with exclusive, high-fill-power goose down ranging from 550 to 900 fill, which represents the highest quality down commercially available. Each lot of down is tested at three stages of production for loftiness, moisture resistance and the ability to regain loft after compression to ensure highly thermal, lightweight performance across all sport spectrums.
Ideal for rain and snow protection, HyVent® technology utilizes a polyurethane coating with a tri-component multilayer formula for waterproof protection, moisture permeability and durability. Quality-assurance lab testing ensures long-term performance while also maintaining an optimum level of breathability.
The perfect combination of high-performance insulation and value, this thermal technology combines ultra-fine and multi-diameter fibers to retain heat in cold weather. The specially treated ultra-fine fibers help to form water-resistant insulation, while the multi-diameter fibers help to build loft for exceptional warmth even when wet.
The primary insulation layer among experienced outdoor enthusiasts for nearly two decades, Polartec® fabrics are available in many unique textures and weights, which are designed specifically to enhance performance in a variety of environments.
TKA (Thermal Kinetic Advancement) fabrics are proprietary innovations created by The North Face to deliver superior insulation and wear resistance. Ideal for layering in cold-weather conditions, this pill-resistant material is available in three different fleece weights (100, 200 and 300) and a Superstretch fabric.
Developed and lab-tested exclusively by The North Face, TNF™ Apex fabrics are made of a signature soft-shell material coated with the Durable Water Resistant (DWR) finish to ensure an ideal balance between weather resistance and breathability. Built to stretch for comfort and mobility, the tightly woven face of these garments keeps you dry in thick fog or light rain, while the soft-brushed interior allows for a gentle, warm-next-to-skin feel.

Exclusive to The North Face, WindWall® is a fleece fabric that uses a unique fabric-bonding process to retain the comfort, flexibility and breathability of traditional fleece while eliminating windchill for the outdoor athlete. WindWall has proven to be a trusted year-round technology due to its ability to serve as a critical winter layer or as stand-alone outerwear in milder conditions.
